A Latency-Driven Availability Assessment for Multi-Tenant Service Chains

چکیده

Nowadays, most telecommunication services adhere to the Service Function Chain (SFC) paradigm, where network functions are implemented via software. In particular, container virtualization is becoming a popular approach deploy and enable resource slicing among several tenants. The resulting infrastructure complex system composed by huge amount of containers implementing different SFC functionalities, along with tenants sharing same chain. complexity such scenario lead us evaluate two critical metrics: steady-state availability (the probability that functioning in long runs) latency time between service request pertinent response). Consequently, we propose latency-driven assessment for multi-tenant chains Containerized Network Functions (CNFs). We adopt multi-state model single CNFs queueing formalism characterize latency. To efficiently compute availability, develop modified version Multidimensional Universal Generating (MUGF) technique. Finally, solve an optimization problem minimize cost under constraint. As relevant example SFC, consider containerized IP Multimedia Subsystem, whose parameters have been estimated through fault injection techniques load tests.

Proxy Service for Multi-tenant Database Access

The database of multi-tenant Software as a Service (SaaS) applications has challenges in designing and developing a relational database for multi-tenant applications. In addition, combining relational tables and virtual relational tables to make them work together and act as one database for each single tenant is a hard and complex problem to solve. Based on our multitenant Elastic Extension Ta...

Henge: Intent-driven Multi-Tenant Stream Processing

We present Henge, a system to support intent-based multitenancy in modern stream processing applications. Henge supports multi-tenancy as a first-class citizen: everyone inside an organization can now submit their stream processing jobs to a single, shared, consolidated cluster. Additionally, Henge allows each tenant (job) to specify its own intents (i.e., requirements) as a Service Level Objec...

Cognitive management of multi-service multi-tenant 5G mobile networks

Fifth generation (5G) mobile networks are expected to support diverse use cases beyond traditional voice and mobile broadband services. Efforts to connect anyone and anything have gained significant traction in several industries, among them automotive, logistics, manufacturing, and robotics. Exemplary use cases include eHealth, IoT (Internet of Things) applications, and V2X (vehicle-to-anythin...

Secure Multi-tenant Application in Software as a Service

A multi-tenant application in Software as a Service (SaaS) is accessed by multiple organizations called tenants who have several users attached to them. Multi-tendency enhances resource utilization by effectively sharing resources and reducing cost, increasing productivity and online collaboration. However, providing a secure multi-tenant access to various tenants is still a challenge. Traditio...
